Reliable Oilfield Services is an owner-operated oilfield service company based in Odessa, TX, founded by Brian Phetteplace. Burner management, fired equipment, PSV/PRV, and thief hatches — done by a crew that lives in the basin, not a call center that dispatches it.

We're a working oilfield service company out of Odessa, Texas — owner-operated, in the field every day across the Permian Basin. We service burner management, fired equipment, PSV/PRV, thief hatches, and the ignition and burner-management side of flares and combustors — six service lines, one accountable crew.
We work for operators of every size, on both sides of the Texas–New Mexico state line. We're honest about scope, too: fired equipment, controls, and valves are what we do — we don't chase compressor-station overhauls. When you call, you get the guy whose name is on the truck, not a dispatcher passing a message to a tech who'll call you back in an hour.

Reliable Oilfield Services was founded by Brian Phetteplace, who spent roughly a decade working in the Permian Basin before starting the company. He'd seen the same problems on site over and over — vendors who didn't show, controllers that were a pain to work on, and constant pressure to stay compliant — and he started ROS to be the dependable partner he wished he'd had on the other end of the phone.
That's still how the company runs: one crew that answers its own phone, shows up when it says it will, documents the work, and stands behind it. It's also why we build our own tools — the ROS BMS controller and the ReliableTrack field platform both came out of real problems on real jobs, not a product roadmap.

ROS BMS is our own burner management system for flares, combustors, and heater treaters — rugged touchscreen, local Wi-Fi, two-year warranty. Most service shops install someone else's box. We designed ours because we knew what the field actually needed.
We run our own software
ReliableTrack is the field platform behind every callout — clean work orders, real ETAs, photo-documented work, and same-day reports. We built it because off-the-shelf software wasn't built for field work.
