We wrote this program for our own flare and combustor crew after a near-miss that could have been a funeral. It exists because a hoist cable almost cost somebody everything — and the difference between a crew that talks about safety and one that has it in writing is usually just the hours nobody has to sit down and write it.
Most small oilfield service companies never get past that blank page. Then a customer asks for their written program during prequalification, and they end up paying a consultant for generic documents that never saw a lease road. So here's ours: written from real work, in field language, free to take.
